Crafting With Inspiration

Every time I think of wellness, I think of crafty ways to be. How can I create a safe, creative space that allows my brain to expand and breathe? It takes me away from the chaos of the day and places me in a peaceful, serendipitous mindset where I can be whatever and whoever I please. Where my mental health and overall wellness step aside and I begin to feel joy and hope. God's word speaks in Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (KJV)

I could never be a wellness professional without my own downtime. You see, for me, downtime is many things... spending time with family or friends, enjoying the warm hugs of my St. Bernard Baloo, or snuggling with my mini Maine Coon cat Bella. Crafting always seems to be the place where my ADD brain settles down, and I can be with God. I feel closest to Him when I create. Card making, you could say, is a ministry for me. Memory Keeping helps me to be present with the things that are important. Painting clears the mind and conveys what it is meant to. Prayer journaling connects me to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. So the hope here is that when I make these things, individuals/clients are blessed, see that God is in the midst of their lives, and can also be intentional and present with their health.

Outside of Pathways To Freedom Natural Health, I have a side crafting business called Crafters Corral & All Things Crafty. A creative collaborative space to see tutorials and handmade creations. You can take a look at all the companies I am affiliated with that line my Corral (craft room) with their inspirations. I use my private Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/craftingwithinspiration to share all the wonderful creations.

My mother is a very compassionate, joyful woman. She is known for her love for people and her love for the Lord. With that said, I asked her to find me a scripture in which God speaks of creativity. She blessed me with Exodus 31:1-6. God says to make artistic designs for work in stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. So, like I petitioned my mother, I petition you. To take a small chunk of time and open your mind to a bigger idea. To create or reflect with journaling. However that looks to you. I guarantee it will settle your mind and heart and help reveal what your body needs to become a healthier version of yourself. Blessings in your moments. ~Julianna
